How to Submit your Abstract – for Oral and Poster Presentations

  • Submission will be accepted through the Oxford Abstracts.

Guidance

As this conference is a global event:

  • Perspectives from a diversity of organizations and professions are being sought including political leaders, government officials and staff, researchers, professionals, advocates and business.
  • Perspectives from a diversity of cycling cultures from around the world.
  • Opportunities for learning and dialogue will reflect this diversity of thoughts, opinions, and research findings.
  • Evidence based research is encouraged.

Call for Presentations – Presentations should contribute towards helping people and cities move towards the right mobility for the future of their city – smart mobility, smart cities, seamless mobility, and combined mobility.

Abstract Instructions & Guidelines – for Oral and Poster Presentations

  • Abstracts must be in English or will NOT be accepted.
    Roundtable presentations may be presented in English, French, Mandarin or Spanish
  • Please indicate the type of session your abstract is for in your submission document.
    Types of Sessions: Lectures, Symposium, Roundtables, Workshops, Pecha Kucha and Poster Sessions.
  • Please indicate your theme selection and category that is related to your theme in your submission document.
  • Content shall be pertinent to the conference themes.
  • Title should contain no more than 100 characters (including spaces).
  • The rest of the abstract text should not exceed more than 400 words.
  • All abstracts accepted by the Program & Review Committees will be published on the conference website and it is mandatory to agree to this at the time of submission.
  • Abstracts not conforming to the above guidelines will NOT be accepted.

Policy – for Oral and Poster Presentations

  • Velo-city Global 2012 is not responsible for lost or misdirected submissions and/or queries.
  • All decisions of Velo-city Global 2012 are considered final.

Velo-city Global 2012 reserves the right to modify, at its sole discretion and without notice, the information contained on this document.

Registration – for Oral and Poster Presentations

Presenting authors of accepted abstracts are required to register immediately after being notified of their acceptance. The deadline to register is March 31, 2012. Accepted abstracts will automatically be withdrawn from the program if the author’s registration is not received by this date.

Maximum of 3 presenters per abstract may present at the conference and all must register after being notified of their acceptance. If the main author is unable to attend, the co-author must be in attendance. We welcome additional authors who were involved with the research and development of the abstract and are not presenting to register and attend the conference.

Presenting authors are responsible for their own registration fees and travel arrangements.

Notification of Acceptance – for Oral and Poster Presentations

Authors will be notified if their abstract was accepted or not accepted. If your abstract is accepted, you will then be provided with the full presentation guidelines.
